Is a domain included?
Yes, for the first year. We pay for a standard .com, .net or .org, and it's registered in your name. Premium domains cost extra. We manage the DNS and all the technical setup for you.
What happens after the first year?
Every package includes 2 free small updates in year 1, and The Grand Haus also gets unlimited small edits for the first 30 days after launch. From year 2, Haus Care ($99/yr) keeps your site online: hosting, domain renewal and 2 small updates.
How do I pay?
You choose. Pay in full upfront, or pay 50% to start and 50% at launch.
How long does it take?
The Little Haus takes 7 business days, The Story Haus 10 and The Grand Haus 14. The clock starts when all your materials are in.
What if I want changes?
Each revision round is one combined list of changes. The Little Haus includes 1 round, The Story Haus 2 and The Grand Haus 3. An extra round is $49.
Do I need to be technical? Can I update the site myself?
You don't need any technical skills. You send us your bio, book details, covers and photos, and we build the site. We make all the changes for you, so you never need to edit the site yourself. A small update is a text, photo or link change, or adding something new to an existing page. You get 2 free small updates in year 1, and a new page is quoted separately.
Can readers buy my books from my site?
Yes. Your site links to your books on the retailers you choose.
